Basic Plot: In the future, scientists have developed a way to transplant a human’s brain into a mechanical body. A young woman suffering from amnesia wakes up to find that she has undergone the procedure, and a year later is the top agent for a government organization out to stop terrorist activities. While attempting to track down a notorious hacker, she begins to uncover the truth about her past, and starts to question what she believes.
Rating (Out of 4): 2
Pros: Some extremely impressive visuals and action set-pieces. Scarlett Johansson does a good job of portraying a character struggling with revelations about her true identity.
Cons: Not too much character development for anyone beyond the main character. This movie simplifies some of the story elements of the manga and anime on which it’s based. Some may find the storyline to be unnecessarily complicated.
