Basic Plot: When an alien invasion threatens the planet, Bruce Wayne decides to enlist the help of other heroes to take on Earth’s enemies.
Rating (Out of 4): 3
Pros: Fun interactions between the various members of the Justice League. A decidedly different take on Aquaman which definitely serves as a benefit to the character. Gal Gadot once again shines as Wonder Woman, while Ben Affleck shows why he was worth taking a risk on for the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Good action scenes. Excellent music, with particular nods to the soundtracks of both the Tim Burton Batman movies, and the John Williams theme for the ’80s Superman movies.
Cons: A fairly bland main enemy with rather cookie-cutter intentions. Not nearly enough character development for the members of the Justice League who haven’t had their own standalone movies yet (Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg). J.K. Simmons is completely wasted in his role as Commissioner James “Jim” Gordon.
