Basic Plot: A socially dysfunctional defense lawyer and activist who has been acting as a “gofer” for his firm’s lead lawyer for years suddenly finds himself without a job and begins work for a firm that is all about making money.  When a client offers to give the location of a murder suspect with a large reward on his head for information on his whereabouts in exchange for leniency, the lawyer makes a decision that has dire consequences.

Rating (Out of 4): 2

Pros: Denzel, once again, steals the show.  He perfectly captures the mannerisms and characteristics of a person who struggles to deal with others on a personal level.  Colin Farrell does an excellent job in a supporting role as a character who is more complicated than he at first appears.

Cons: Certain things in this movie move to quickly, and the key conflict heavily promoted in the advertising campaign for the film doesn’t happen until the last third of the film.  The ending (without giving away any spoilers) is a little too neat and clean.
