Rating (Out of 4): 3
Pros: Great opening sequence. Benedict Cumberbatch adds gravity to what could have been a one-note villain. Good doses of humor sprinkled throughout the script.
Cons: Not really the filmmaker’s fault, but the revelation of who Cumberbatch’s character truly is was ruined by social media speculation as well as an overly-revealing marketing campaign. McCoy and some of the other characters are pushed into the background in this movie.
