Rating (Out of 4): 3
Pros: Although some may view this as an unnecessary reboot of the franchise, given that Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 was released only five years prior, this movie is actually pretty good. Strong performances from Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and Sally Field, along with some great action sequences make for an enjoyable film.
Cons: Some scenes with The Lizard look unconvincing, and there is some pretty hammy/melodramatic scenes (particularly the one involving C. Thomas Howell as a construction site foreman).
