Basic Plot: After the events of the last film, Bruce Wayne has gone in to self-imposed exile, and a new menace has focused his attention on Gotham City. Rating (Out of 4): 3
Pros: Here is finally an opponent that is physically superior to Batman himself. Tom Hardy does a great job of using his facial expressions to express menace, making up the fact that half his face is covered at all times. Some truly brutal hand-to-hand combat scenes. Anne Hathaway shines as Selina Kyle/Catwoman. A rousing finish to Nolan’s “Dark Knight Trilogy”.
Cons: Bane’s breathing mask makes some of the things he says difficult to understand. He’s also not as compelling a villain as The Joker.
