Basic Plot: An inside look at the trial of author Michael Peterson, accused of killing his wife by pushing her down the stairs in their house and bludgeoning her to death.
Rating (Out of 4): 3
Pros: A fascinating view of the legal process, focusing mainly on the defense team trying to put together a case that brings reasonable doubt in to the prosecution’s theory, with plenty of twists and turns along the way.
Cons: Through no fault of the director, after fully agreeing to be a part of the documentary, the prosecuting attorney’s office pulls out of the production about halfway through, leaving the audience with a rather one-sided view of what went on behind the scenes in this case.
